Akihabara

Akiba (as it is known) is an area of Tokyo known for electronics shops, game centers, maid cafés and large stores specializing in collectibles, fan manga and so on. Some useful resources:

Den-Den Town or Nipponbashi

Den-Den Town is in Osaka and is a scaled down version of Akihabara. There are number of retrogaming stores there.
